AI and This Site
Whist I do use AI (Gemini and ChatGPT) occasionally for research and learning, it’s mostly because of the degredation of search engines like Google.
AI in General
In general, whist “AI often has horrific ethical issues given the amount of power it consumes and the providance of its data, there’s no doubt it can have real practical uses. That said, a LOT of the AI slop being force fed to us with 1000 AI features that no one wants or needs, and the major cloud providers filling up their conferences with cursed AI talks, and every tech tool suddenly having AI features - is infuriating and unneded.
